Thornburg, David H.- age 74, of Powell, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012 at his home. He was a member of West Haven Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S Army, a 32nd degree Mason at Charles McKinney Lodge #433 F&AM, and retired from Norfolk Southern Railway with over 40 years of service. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Connie Thornburg; granddaughters, Alexandria Thornburg and Hailee Ann Noland; and close cousin Virginia Hudson and husband Bill. The family would like to express special thanks to Mary Jane Evans and Family and Ralph and Brenda Bailey for their care, love, and support. Family and friends are invited to meet at 12:45 pm Monday, May 7, 2012, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a 1:00 pm graveside service with Rev. Geoff Prows officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm Sunday, May 6, 2012, at ROSE MORTUARY BROADWAY CHAPEL. Online obituary may be viewed and condolences extended at
